She made her feature film debut in the Vasanthabalan-directed Tamil drama film ”Veyyil” (2006) which was produced by Shankar and co-starring Pasupathy. Priyanka first made an appearance in a Malayalam film with Kichamani MBA (2007) where she featured as a supporting role. Later that same year she featured alongside Suhasini and Biju Menon in T. V. Chandran’s Vilapangalkkappuram where her performance earned her the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress award and Rediff named her the top Malayalam actress of 2009. Rediff named her top Malayalam actress of 2009 as she rose to popularity thanks to Mohanlal’s role opposite him in Ividam Swargamanu where she rose even more popular.
